A man killed in Bayview Thursday night was San Francisco's second homicide of 2012. The unidentified victim was sitting inside his car at the intersection of Jennings Street and Revere Avenue around 8:20 p.m. when someone came up to him, asked for drugs, and then was shot.

SF Examiner has more: "A suspect approached the car and asked if the victim had any 'weight,' a slang term for drugs, police said, and the victim replied that he did not. At this response, the suspect reached in the car and grabbed the victim and shot him. The victim then exited the vehicle and ran down the 1600 block of Jennings Street when he collapsed."

The suspect is described as "a male in his mid-20s with a thin build, was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt." No arrests have been made.
