Westbound traffic on the Bay Bridge is a veritable nightmare this morning after a four-vehicle crash occurred just after 6 a.m. An AC bus carrying passengers collided with three other cars, which ended up blocking the far westbound lane. Traffic, as of 8:30, is in shambles. The McArthur Maze is a mess, and even traffic on a Dumbarton Bridge is jammed due to commuters opting for another route.

One person on the bus was reportedly injured. All the passengers were put aboard another bus and brought to their final destination, the temporary Transbay terminal, by about 7 a.m.

The Chron reported that things were still stop-and-go as of 8:30, and we're sure there are a lot of you whose case of the Mondays got kicked into a high fever because of this. We're very sorry.

But traffic heading eastbound on the Bay Bridge is just dandy, at least from what we can glean out SFist headquarters' windows in SOMA.
