Tenderloin / Stabbing: A 28-year-old man was walking along the 700 block of Eddy Street this morning around 1:30 a.m. when he was asked by a man if he could use his cell phone. The man then proceeded to walk off with it, and when the cell phone owner chased after him, the man turned and stabbed him in the right side of the head. Mission / Stolen Puppy Returned: A puppy named James who was scheduled for adoption was stolen from the SPCA the other day. A woman, who purchased the puppy for $200 from its likely kidnapper outside the Mission Safeway, returned the puppy after her mother recognized his picture from the news. [Mission Local]
