Another jolting quake hit the Bay Area Thursday night, coming in at 8:16. Did you feel that one, too? This one measured 4.1 3.9 3.8. And it looks like it's an aftershock to the 4.0 quake that shook Berkeley this afternoon, according to USGS.

Felt stronger than the previous one, yes? It felt odd. Perhaps this would be a good time to reminder you all to get prepared. 72Hours.org has all the info you need (e.g., first aid kit, your go bag, home safety, children) for earthquake preparation.

We'll update as soon as we know more.

Update 8:45: No injuries reported. BART and Muni are experiencing delays as workers check the tunnels.

Here's what some SFist commenters have said about tonight's aftershock:

"Fox Plaza went up and down a little." - Mark Daniel Snyder

"The world is supposed to end TOMORROW, Hayward Fault. HOLD THE FUCK ON." - Torta Potty

"Felt it, and my place is built into bedrock in Corona Heights; a whooshing thru the hallway." - Ramón

"Not much of an event out here in Bridge and Tunnel Land. Cats have been extracted from the laundry pile and treats have been administered. Back to our boring, benighted existence out here in Bridge and Tunnel Land." - wsanders

Also, a mile away from the epicenter, a Berkeley resident sent KRON 4 News this bit of mild destruction from their kitchen. Behold the horror:

Update 9:00 Second quake downgraded to 3.8. (Hand to god, it felt much stronger than the first one. Huh. Crazy world.)
