The historic Fisherman's Wharf crab purveyors at the Alioto-Lazio Fish Company have reopened after being dark for the better part of the year. The staff of all-female fishmonger at the generations-old wholesaler were forced to close their doors back in January due to an oil leak. While they obviously missed their projected reopening date of February, the girls are back in business just in time for dungeness crab season.
As Angela Cincotta, who runs the back office along with three generations of ladies, told CBS5, the fish company has already started taking orders for Christmas and expects to move their first fish shipment next week. Cincotta believes they'll have no problem filling your early season crab orders in time for Thanksgiving.
