SFMOMA's popular Now Playing Series kicks off tomorrow night with BAND, a collaboration between New York-based artist Adam Pendleton and quirky local/national gems, Deerhoof, which is described as "an unfolding artwork that re-imagines Jean-Luc Godard's film, Sympathy for the Devil."

The event will include a live performance by Deerhoof in front of Pendleton's projections, along with footage from Pendleton's three-channel video tracking Deerhoof's recording of "I Did Crimes for You."

BAND will also continue Sympathy for the Devil's meditation on the Black Panther movement with an onstage interview featuring David Hilliard, former chief of staff of the Black Panther Party.
