FILM: Directors Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman will be attending the 7 p.m. screenings all weekend of Between Two Worlds, their new documentary that exposes the polarized debates over tradition and change, loyalty and dissent, inside the American Jewish community today. (7 and 8:40 p.m., Roxie Theater, 3117 16th Street)
CIRCUS: Tonight's edition Friday Night at the de Young will feature members of Velocity Circus -- acrobats, contortionists, and "vibrant characters," who will "dance, balance on each other, and play through the transcendent arias of contemporary masterpieces." The event also includes hands-on art-making, screenings of the documentary Matisse and Picasso, and an artist salon. (6 p.m., de Young Museum, Golden Gate Park | 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive)
PARTY: FunCheapSF has the scoop on yet another quirky event, the weekly Friday Night Skate Party, which "hits up San Francisco’s main attractions, all while blasting their own beats from two jogging strollers mounted with speakers." Sounds like a good time. (9 p.m., Ferry Plaza, Ferry Plaza, Embarcadero)
