So, Bjork's got a new album coming out September 27 called Biophilia, and much of the album was composed and recorded using several iPad apps. The first video from the album, for the song "Crystalline," just dropped last night, and it's directed by longtime collaborator (and director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) Michel Gondry. We should note that the album already has its own iPad app, which currently only features two tracks, but will eventually feature interactive experiences for all ten songs. Bjork even got David Attenborough to explain the whole concept in a video (see below).
"In Biophilia you will experience how the three come together: nature, music, and technology," says Attenborough. "Forget the size of the human body. Remember that you are a gateway between the universal and the microscopic. We are on the brink of a revolution that will reunite the human body with nature through new technological innovations..." Watch on... trip out.
