Life Before the Lifeboat is a "touching 28-minute documentary" featuring leading AIDS expert and local Dr. Paul Volberding. This documentary boasts conversations between Dr. Volberding and some of San Francisco's leaders from the earliest days of the AIDS epidemic. "It highlights how political and gay activists, along with San Francisco General Hospital, came together to navigate the early years of the AIDS epidemic in The City."
