As San Francisco's DIY Mama and founder of IndieMart and WorkshopSF, Kelly Malone can do a lot of things herself. But she can't beat cancer all on her own, so she's recruited a lineup of stellar friends and local bands to her defeat the C-word once and for all. Besides donating 100% of proceeds to Kelly's cancer fund, tonight's benefit show at the Independent on Divisadero boasts appearances by local noisemakers (and some SFist local favorites): Social Studies, Royal Baths,The Sandwitches, Art Museums, and Carletta Sue Kay.
Regular tickets are 15 bucks, but if you're feeling especially generous (and hungry) VIP tickets go for $50 include upstairs lounge access and grub from neighborhood restaurants like Bar Crudo and Little Star Pizza.
The packed show starts at 8 P.M. tonight. Come for the cancer-slaying, stay for the Social Studies.
