CABARET: The San Francisco Sex Worker Film and Arts Festival kicks off tonight with Love for $ale: A Sweet Talking, Street Walking Burlesque Cabaret, featuring an exciting and arousing evening of "hookers, hustlers, hussies and high class ho's," hosted by porn star and sex worker activist Derrick Hanson and Tom Orr of Dirty Little Showtunes! fame. ART: Supervisors David Chiu, John Avalos, Eric Mar, and Jane Kim are hosting a Visual Art Showcase at City Hall featuring work by and about each district's residents. Local fave, Julie Michelle, will be exhibiting photos from her popular I Live Here: SF series in each Supervisor's reception area, along with work by a big line-up of visual artists. BENEFIT: ATA and Other Cinema are co-presenting a screening of recent media-artworks, as part of their Benefit for Dara Greenwald, who is fighting cancer. Over a dozen pieces will be featured, including works by Greta Snider, Jem Cohen, Jim Finn, Paul Chan, Ben Coonley, and Melinda Stone and Igor Vamos, along with a screening of The Package by Dara Greenwald.
