Not that you fine upstanding citizens would ever be mean to a our noble class of educators, but the San Francisco Unified School District expects to hand out 60-day layoff notices to 150 employees this week. That means 139 fewer teachers and 13 fewer school administrators will have jobs at the end of this school year. If the Mayor finds some dollars in his revised budget there's a chance that some of those pink slips could rescinded, but still - let's try not to give teachers such a hard time this week, OK? [SFEx]
