FILM: SF Cinemateque presents Radical Light: In Search of Christopher MacLaine -- Man, Artist, Legend, which provides an in-depth look at four films by San Francisco Beat poet Christopher Maclaine -- The End, The Man Who Invented Gold, Beat and Scotch Hop. Despite having a big influence on countless filmmakers, the films have been largely unscreened and underappreciated. Tonight's event includes three essays on Maclaine, along with live appearances by two of his early collaborators, actor Wilder Bentley II and filmmaker Lawrence Jordan.
