Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Brian Wilson's chance of recovering from a strained oblique muscle by Thursday when the Giants head to Los Angeles are "less than 50-50," but they're not going to rule it out completely. If he is sidelined, there's still a chance he'll be eligible for activation by Opening Day on April 8 against the St. Louis Cardinals, according to MLB.com.

The Giants are treating Wilson's oblique gingerly, since the injury could recur without proper healing. Wilson is having his first bullpen session since March 17 today, and Bochy said they'll make their final decision once they see how he does.

If he needs a change of luck, may we suggest having a nice, clean shave? It would be like a big breath of fresh, spring season air. Ah.
