Another two-alarm fire broke out early this morning, just up the hill from the Castro at 1370 Clayton Street. According to Bay City News, the latest fire was reported around 3 a.m. today and under control by 3:43. No one was injured, but the Red Cross is assisting the six residents who are probably not enjoying their Monday so far.

According to SFFD, it's too early to tell if this one was intentionally set or in any way related to last Friday's suspected arson and the three deliberate fires from early Thursday morning, but circumstantial evidence (early morning, in the neighborhood) is certainly pointing in that direction. At what point do we have to start brainstorming a clever nickname for this guy?

Update: KRON 4 Morning News confirms that this most recent blaze was not connected to the recent string of arson fires, and the Chronicle is pointing to some oily rags used to varnish a deck as the culprit.
