Just last Friday, over in the Cow Hollow/Marina environs, a new rock-and-roll themed lounge opened called The Brixton (2140 Union Street). They've got vintage concert photos from the long gone Winterland Ballroom on the walls, a full food menu, and cocktails suitable for rocking out in style.

Today's cocktail comes to us from bar manager Adam Snyder, who says, ""Bourbon's been gaining popularity over the past few years, and I wanted to create a cocktail that was approachable for both men and women. I believe this drink is attractive even if you're not a bourbon drinker, with the sweetness of the juices combined with the spirit making for a unique and unforgettable cocktail."

Bourbon Raspberry Splash

1.5 oz Bulleit bourbon
1 oz raspberry puree
.5 oz lime juice
.5 oz simple syrup
1 oz soda water

Shake first four ingredients and strain over ice. Serve in a cocktail glass, and top with soda, a sprig of mint along, and a slice of lime.
