STORYTELLING: Creativity Explored studio artists, staff members, and volunteers take the mic at this month's Porchlight storytelling event Don’t Call Me Retard. Each guest will tell a ten-minute true story, which will be interspersed with short animated video works by Creativity Explored artists.

PANEL: Tonight's Commonwealth Club panel discussion, The Conscientious Carnivore, which includes industry experts from all ends of the farm-to-table spectrum, will cover the four elements of proper treatment for an animal: A good life, a good death, a good butchering, and a good preparation.

PHOTOGRAPHY: The Long Now presents Rachel Sussman's The World's Oldest Living Organisms, which documents 4,500 year old bristlecone pines, 12,000 year old yucca, 400,000 year old Siberian bacteria, and many other "wizened elders", all with stories longer than all of recorded human history.
