Sunday morning's drizzle must have been foreboding enough to keep festival goers from heading out to Treasure Island early because arriving late to Lot A at AT&T park meant long lines for the island shuttles. I managed to arrive to the end of The Sea & Cake's set though, which triggered flashbacks back to when "College Radio" was still a thing and know one knew what a podcast was.
By the time She & Him came on the Bridge Stage the crowd had started getting cuddly, squeezing in next to their girlfriends and leaning forward to get cellphone photos of Zooey Deschanel. The supergroup of sorts is adorable to watch, especially when Zooey strums a ukelele that looks like a tiny Fender Telecaster, but you get the sense that you're about to become an extra in a movie scene set at a "cool outdoor concert." She & Him would (unfortunately) be one of the few bands of the day that would not perform a stage dive.
