Three Vegan Dishes Worth (Temporarily) Ditching Meat/Dairy Over

No Worries (1442 Franklin)

It's VEGAN FILIPINO FOOD. Veganism and Filipino food go together like Sonny and Cher and Cher divorced Sonny and then he skied into a tree (RIP), you feel us? Which is to say, the last time we had Filipino food, the green beans were made of pork. Well, hold the phone because we've got some news for you. A new Filipino restaurant, No Worries, just opened in Oakland. They've veganized so many classics that we started eating when the doors opened last Friday and haven't stopped yet. Our favorite so far? The Kare-Kare, which is vegan meat, eggplant, string beans, and cabbage in this delicious savory peanut sauce. Get a huge bowl of it for 9 bucks and an extra buck for rice. Cheap 'n' tasty, just like how we like everything except some things.
