In this day and age, it's hard for any small business to stay afloat, but single-screen, worker-owned-and-operated neighborhood moviehouses are fewer and far between. Show your support to 20-year-old SF gem, the Red Vic Moviehouse, at the Surfpulse Sunday Surf Benefit this weekend.
The free event will have free food (Yolanda’s cheese enchiladas), and Sierra Nevada will be donating $1 for all of their pints sold. A portion of the bar and tips will also be donated.
Powerlines Productions will be screening the evening’s surf films and footage, as well as selling DVDs for $10 each -- half of the profits will go to the Red Vic. There will also be a raffle with lots of great prizes.
Sunday's event also happens to be the last monthly Surf Sunday Benefit. So, big applause to organizer Jeff Grubler for putting all of these events together and donating his own bartending tips to each nonprofit organization of the month.
