Allow the noted cocktails and spirits writer to act as your Virgil through the messy circles of booze you'll stumble down this week. Presumably, English will update throughout the week, so be sure to check to give him a looksie, OK? OK.

The gentrityingly delicious Commonwealth (Anthony Myint and Jason Fox's new joint, billed as "a progressive American restaurant in San Francisco's Mission district") earns decent reviews, according to Eater. On the menu? Lots of delightful fancy food, including "liquid nitrogen- and foam-laced creativity." Yowza!

Vegan Dark chocolate mousse torte with chocolate grand marnier sauce, anyone?

Nancy Oakes, of Boulevard, must be beaming today after Lord Michael Bauer gave her new, "casual" restaurant, Prospect, 3.5 stars. And why not? They serve something called "crisp pig trotters." Those sound adorable as all heck -- not to mention tasty too.
