ART: Five artists under the age of 21 and raised in the Bay Area present Granny’s Missed You, a multimedia show that's part of Luggage Store’s Short Cuts Program. The exhibition, which is focused around a short story by Penelope Yow-Shiuan Lin, addresses the artsists' "distance between lingering memories and emerging presence."

MUSIC: Equis Alfonso, Cuban superstar, brings his hot Afro-Cuban sound (a mix of hip hop, rumba, funk, and rock) to Cuba Afro-Rock Revoluxion Performance & Dance Party, a musical multi-media exploration of the Afro-Cuban movement's influence on contemporary Cuban culture. Also featuring Osamu with Pedrito Calvo.

FILM: Mao's Last Dancer, featuring San Francisco's own Joan Chen, premiere's today at Embarcadero and Kabuki. The film, based on ballet dancer Li Cunxin's autobiography, tells of Cunxin's his extraordinary journey from a poor upbringing in rural China to international stardom as a world-class ballet dancer.
