Worker crews are attempting to save construction worker buried in a ditch at sea cliff. According to ABC 7, "[f]ire officials said emergency crews responded to 38 W. Clay St. on a report of a worker who was trapped." It seems the ditch in which he was working collapsed.

Update: CBS 5 says a retaining wall collapsed. Also: "There is still no word on the condition of the worker but crews are digging in the ditch to try to clear the debris and pieces of the collapsed wall to get to him."

Update II: The trapped worker was "buried up to his waist as of 3 p.m." And emergency personnel had "given him an IV treatment and were administering oxygen."
