NIMBY Watch: Ike's Gets a Reprieve, 7-11 Facing Hurdles in Outer Mission

NIMBY Watch: Ike's Gets a Reprieve, 7-11 Facing Hurdles in Outer Mission

Perhaps you heard, but as the Bay Citizen and SFoodie report, Ike's got a reprieve yesterday from a sympathetic judge, and therefore the uber-popular sandwich shop won't be evicted without a trial, in which those upstairs neighbors' million-dollar demands might come to light and hurt their credibility.

And then we bring you to the story of a 7-11 that some NIMBYs are really losing their shit over at 30th and Mission. Why? Because it's "formula retail" and a "crime magnet" and will allegedly hurt local coffee shops' sales. Really, though? Don't Mission-ites deserve slurpies too? [Shout out to Uptown Almanac who decided to BORROW our 'NIMBY Watch' tag]

Update: Oh snap! Said tag was on Curbed too.
