FiDi workers may already be familiar with Credo (360 Pine), the Italian restaurant opened in January by local political heavyweight Clint Riley who once assisted a certain lady named Nancy in her first Congressional campaign. 'Credo' means 'I believe' in Italian, and the eatery's walls are decorated with a bevy of quotations, from politicians, artists, comedians, and others, that include the phrase "I believe." The drink list at Credo was created by bar manager Joel Teitelbaum, who just gave it a springtime revision. In addition to a tasty white Negroni and a concoction involving roasted jalapeños, Joel's got a drink that he says he took some inspiration for from Cantina's Duggan McDonnell. Duggan's drink had rum and lemon in it, but in this, the primary spirit is Amaro Nonio, mixed with tequila, pomegranate and lime. The effect is something strange and delicious, and it's hard to know from tasting it what the drink's made with. But it makes for a delicious warm weather beverage, perfect for non-rainy holiday weekends.
