It's no secret SFist is stuck on Joanne Weir, one of our favorite chefs and local personalities. In addition to being unassuming and friendly in person, she taught us how to make a simple Goat Cheese and Green Onion Galette (from Weir Cooking in the Wine Country.) And for that? We are eternally grateful. Which is why we're amped, if you will, after hearing that San Francisco-based chef will temporarily take over "Dining Around with Gene Burns" while the titular host goes on vacation.
You can listen to Weir from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on KGO Radio, AM 810 for the next three Saturdays: May 15, 22, and 29. And, as Eater points out, she will talk about food and, most likely, tequila. Be sure to tune in, folks.
