We're a big fan of the many wonderful murals scattered around the Mission, and it's always fun to see one being created. The latest neighborhood mural, though, is just lipstick on the big, ugly pig that is the new building (warning, bad condo lounge music) at the corner of Mission and Chavez.
While we wait for the Chronicle's John King to weigh in with his usual artful dissection of this blight on the neighborhood, we grimace each time we see its awkward proportions, inept details, hideous colors and already-warped and decaying metal trim. Can't we let the muralists at least paint the whole building?
