At this Wednesday's Heart of the City Farmers Market, located at the United Nations Plaza in Civic Center every Wednesday and Sunday, we
- bought Jalapeno/Garlic Pistachios, which are wonderfully spicy and flavorful, but half of them have flaws -- either the shells stick together, the nut sticks in the shell once you do get them open, and the green powder stains your fingers green.
- sampled some sinful Almond Toffee Popcorn
- and met a guy with a caged parrot, whom he says thinks it's humans and watches over babies so they don't get swept up by hawks. (We had an infant with us.)
