SCIENCE: Ever been to a cocktail party and wished you had some bit of information to share that would be so fascinating, so relevant, and so unique that you'd be the topper of every conversation, the toast of the evening? Then come to the Exploratorium tonight and learn the physics, chemistry and biology of that drink in your hand. How exactly, does inebriation occur? And in what's happening, exactly, when certain liquors mix? The lessons learned this night could liven up chit chat for years to come.

MUSIC: White Denim's music has been compared to both the Minutemen and Randy Newman. Their new album, Fits, has more jazz and soul than previously. They play tonight with Brazos and Black & Gallagher (of Apollo Sunshine).

FILM: The Berkeley Art Museum and the Pacific Film Archive present Mon Oncle, a 1958 French slapstick from filmmaker and star Jaques Tati. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Mon Oncle features Tati as his most famous character Monsieur Hulot, known for his trench-coat, pipe and old world attitude.
