7th Richmond Gang Rape Suspect Turns Himself In

A seventh man turned himself in to Richmond police this week in the Richmond High School gang rape. During the October incident, if you recall, a 16-year-old girl was beaten and raped during a homecoming dance by 10 people over a two-and-a-half hour period while others looked on.

According to CBS 5, "John Crane Jr., 43, surrendered at the Richmond Police Department around 7:30 p.m. and was booked on felony sexual assault charges in connection with the Oct. 24 attack, Sgt. Bisa French said. Police announced last week that Crane is a suspect in the case."

Six other suspects -- Cody Smith of San Pablo, 15; Ari Morales, 16; Marcelles Peter, 17;Manuel Ortega, 19, Jose Montano, 18, and Elvis Torrentes, 21 -- have been charged in the case.
