The potentially horrible human beings on the board of the SFMTA -- who, among other things, could raise the F-Market line fare to an astounding and inaccessible $5, which would render them big ol' meanies, even though these recommendations were probably made in consultation with board members -- are having a meeting today. The SFMTA weekly meeting should prove to be a hot one, so we'd hate for you to miss it. -- especially considering the righteous frustration many of you spewed over last week's Muni announcement.

Maybe you'd like to attend said SFMTA meeting, which starts at 2 p.m., to make some noise?

Sure, it'll be a closed session. It's an open meeting, so come on down. (Seriously, the F-Market is an important Muni line smack dab on one of the city's most important arteries.) Because at the rate we're going, in a decade or so San Francisco could have secret doors, walkways and underground tunnels through which the locals can travel -- similar to the ones employees use at Disneyland -- so as not to disturb the more important dollar-spending tourists.

Meeting takes place at SF City Hall (room 400), 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, starting at 2 p.m.
