HOLIDAY: Oh come all ye faithful to the 80th Annual Golden Gate Park Christmas Tree Lighting. Put on by the San Francisco Parks Trust (sfpt.org), the free event will feature caroling and will hopefully remind us that December is a time of joy and celebration, not just gray skies and rain.

PARTY: San Francisco's Skyy vodka, Paso Robles' Firestone beer, Napa Valley's Scott Harvey wine, and more than 20 San Francisco restaurants will provide complimentary refreshments for Yelp.com's 5th annual holiday party, Yelp Unwrapped. Whoa, wait a minute - did somebody say free beer?
