THEATER: Fat Pig, a contemporary play by Neil LaBute, tells of the forbidden love between a handsome young man and a smart, funny, but overweight young woman. Can Tom withstand the judgment of his friends? Can love survive without society's approval? Remember, it's written by LaBute - so it's a comedy, but certainly not feel-good. The extended show now runs through Dec. 13.

8 p.m. // Aurora Theatre Company (2081 Addison St., Berkeley) // $34-$45

MUSIC: The Classical Revolution ensemble brings chamber music to the masses by performing in bars, night clubs, or in this case, art galleries. On the first Thursday of every month, Red Poppy Art House hosts the ensemble, which has featured over 200 musicians in its two years. Needless to say, the program varies month to month. And if the lack of lyrics and a percussion section makes your eyelids heavy, feel free to move about the gallery, known for its community art projects.

7pm // Red Poppy Art House (2698 Folsom St., SF) // $10

FILM: Do you ever wake up, get on the bus, go to work and feel like everyone around is you a zombie? Find out what to do if that ever actually happens by watching the 2004 horror-comedy Shaun of the Dead. This film by Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, the team that later made Hot Fuzz, is a gooey, gory cult favorite - the perfect antidote to the saccharine holiday shows you'll likely be dragged to this month.

7:15 and 9:25 // Red Vic Movie House (1727 Haight Street) // $9
