Today's "Ask SFist" comes from the writer of this post. It's our second wedding anniversary next week, and we're on a budget. We always dine at home, usually only splurging on sushi, but we'd like to step out of our comfort zone for this special occasion.

We're ideally looking for $13-18 entrees in the Tendernob/ Downtown/ SoMa area but might be inclined to venture elsewhere, so feel free to mention faves in your own neighborhood. Also, we should divulge that we are meat snobs, who opt for vegetarian if the meat isn't grass-fed/free-range.
