LIT: Actor, activist and Mill Valley-resident Peter Coyote's memoir Sleeping Where I Fall discusses the Diggers, a group he helped create in 1960s Haight-Ashbury, who distributed free food, provided free medical care, and sponsored free rock concerts in Golden Gate Park featuring musicians like the Grateful Dead.

THEATER: Lisa Rowland and Dave Dennison bring us Awkward Dinner Party, a blend of short- and long-form improvisation in which the two have invited another couple over for dinner, but only one member (Rafe Chase) shows up. Hilarity and discomfort ensue. The show runs through Saturday.
