The man suspected of shooting and killing a toll collector and transit worker at the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge toll plaza last night has been arrested. Richmond resident Nathaniel Burris, 46, "was spotted by a California Highway Patrol unit on Interstate 80 near Baxter, a town in the Sierra mountains." Authorities noticed his Ford van parked by the side of Interstate 80 near Eagle Lake," where the suspect was fast asleep. "When he spotted officers, he drove off, going up to 80 mph as deputies followed him," finally slowing down and turning himself in. Although a love triangle or a domestic dispute of some sort has been rumored, no one knows yet exactly why Burris killed Deborah Ross, 51, "who police say was sharing a home with Burris in Richmond" and Ersie Everett, 58, a San Leandro resident. The Contra Costa Times goes on to report that "Burris called a relative and confessed to the shootings."
