Art Explosion Open Studios
The Art Explosion is celebrating their 15th Anniversary this weekend. The Opening Reception is Friday night from 7 to 11 p.m., and the studios will be open Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. There are three studios: 17th Street Studios, Alabama St Studios, and Harrison St Studios.

Punks And Poets: SF Subculture In The '70s
Fun fact: Apparently the Sex Pistols broke up in San Francisco. "Photographer Michael Jang documented the moment of the Sex Pistols breakup with astonishing, never-exhibited shots taken the morning after the Pistols fateful show at San Francisco's Winterland," which will be on display at Pirate Cat Radio Cafe. Additionally, the show will feature Jang's shots of local punk legends The Avengers, The Mutants, and The Dils, and literary icons Lawrence Ferlinghetti, William S. Burroughs, Michael McClure, Ishmael Reed, and others.
