It seems like Bay Area sports teams think the grass is greener on the other side of the park. First, the 49ers pretended they were going to runaway. After mommy and daddy told them how much they loved them and how very special they were, the ailing football franchise relented. Now, according to CBS 5, the A's want out of Oakland. (Take a number!) Or rather, that's what A's owner Lewis Wolff is saying. Due to a combination of low attendance and low season ticket holder figures, Wolff said, "We have fully exhausted our time and resources over the years with the City of Oakland, dating back to previous A's ownership." While he wants out of Oakland, he would like to keep the team in Northern California. Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums said he will do everything "reasonably possible" to keep them. San Jose could be the leading contender as the A's next home.
