Don't shred!
Don't skate!
Don't scoot!
Don't walk! (transitive)
Don't play!
Don't pluck!
Don't trample!
Don't feed! (transitive)
All that adds up to "DON'T LIVE!" according to at least one vandal. The rules at the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum are not unreasonable. However, their new-school international-style signs are a little different. These stacked up figures strike some as funny.
Obviously somebody has made an effort to avoid using too much American English, that non-inclusive sole official language of California. But be sure to check out the arboretum when you can. It's very pleasant with many interesting things. Just be nice when you visit.
