Want to check out some film this Sunday afternoon? , a documentary set in one of our sister -ist cities, Austin, Texas, is about the battle between developers and environmentalists as a sweet-sounding but misguided builder tries to put up a huge suburban neighborhood near Barton Springs, a natural pool loved by the locals (pictured at right). No good guys or bad guys here, just a thoughful examination of a complicated situation as a growing urban area grapples with the conflicting needs to protect natural resources while also promoting economic growth. Might be worth watching, both sides of the Critical Mass debate!
The movie screens on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the Kabuki -- and we'll announce a winner by the end of the day today -- so one lucky duck will be set for their weekend plans!
