What do we mean? Climates is the type of movie where there's not that much dialogue and there's not much action, but the simple act of smoking a cigarette is so fraught with significance that the camera lingers on every puff for five minutes. Wait, there's a shot of a fly buzzing around and landing on one of the actors! Does the fly represent the death of the relationship? Some Orestian allusion representing guilt? Or maybe a fly just landed on the actress as they were filming the shot and left it in? In a way, this movie reminded us of much of the last couple of seasons of "The Sopranos." While some saw a lot of the episodes as "character development" and "symoblism" we saw it as filler to fulfill contractual obligations.
