Eh, just so y'all know, that was a joke. The last thing we need is Fox News knocking on our door for questioning the machismo of the armed forces.

According to the people who were involved in the whole thing, the committee who recommends where to commission things decided on going with San Francisco after members of the committee checked us out. Ships have been commissioned here before, the last time in 2002, and apparently a good time was had by all. The decision to scuttle the thing, however, was made from higher authorities who cited recent things we've done that some would call "anti-military" like. Like the JROTC thing or Gerardo Sandoval's "military...we don't need no stinking military" routine.

Better luck next time, we guess.
