First up, we bid adieu to the other Alou, Moises. Moises was great when he played but didn't play that much. Signed to get Barry's back in the lineup, he constantly broke down so that the much-anticipated Bonds/Alou double-bill never quite came to fruition. The other goodbye is to Steve Finley who was signed about two years too late. Finley was supposed to be nothing but a fill-in outfielder but due to Moises' injuries, became much more than a fill-in outfielder. When he didn't play regularly, he was alright. When he did, which was often, he wasn't.
Speaking of the Bar, word has it that some talk is going on between Barry's agent and the Giants. Barry's agent is also saying that everyone wants a piece of Bonds next year but nobody is buying it. Just say no, Sabes!
