Libation Liberation: Madrone

Libation Liberation: Madrone

So, bonus points for a place that allows you to contemplate that which enriches the mind as you sit and systematically execute brain cells. Yes, we can appreciate an establishment that fills its space with distractions to make you forget that several of your vital organs are screaming for mercy.

To wit, many a liver has been quelled with good music and the visual arts. The corner of Divisadero and Fell houses a bar that is more than that. Madrone takes its inspiration from both creative San Francisco and the fear that you will be middle-aged and sitting at the bar staring vacantly at the spot 10 inches in front of your face. Local artists are featured on the walls, live bands and rotating DJs populate the corner stage, film and slideshows broadcast with the music and artisan infused vodkas highlight the shelves behind the bar.
