It's not often that we have sympathy for agencies' delayed-service problems, but allow us to go all BART apologist Linton Johnson and/or SFPD apologist Neville Gittens on you here and offer our apologies for the periodic delays we're having on the site. We're still working out all the kinks in the Gothamist-wide upgrade, which seem to have resulted in long lag times for comments and posts to go live. As an experiment, we'll tell you right now that we're going live on this post at 10:45 a.m. -- let us know what time the server actually posts it.

And for those of you who love to comment, please note that it's taking our server so long to process them that you may get a time-out error. Deceptively, though, you get the time-out error the comment has gone through. Tricky, huh? So comment away, hit the post button, and then walk away from it -- don't hit the post button twice, or your comment will go through twice.

Think of this as SFist's own switching problem -- at least we're not making you late to work, right? We'll keep you updated as best we can.
