at Magic Theatre
Killer Joe is one of the best plays so far in 2006. Why haven't you seen it, you wonder? Probably because it played way the hell up in Mill Valley, and though we can probably get to Mill Valley faster than we can get across town, it's (moan) across the bridge and (groan) costs $4, or is it $5? We lost count. But who cares? Now Tracy Letts's insane comedy of sex and blood, which had the Little Man nearly creaming himself, plays at Magic Theatre under the auspices of Sankowich/Firemused Productions, helmed again by director Lee Sankowich, who recently left the artistic director position at Marin Theatre Company (in Mill Valley), for those who follow such theater news. Now you have no excuse not to see this show--even if it is across town.
Playing June 2 through July 23
