We've been looking forward to the opening of a Bay Area H&M like it's the damn Rapture or something, especially since it seems like they're everywhere else in the country already.

If we were a lesser person, we might be pissed that the West Coast is so far down their list (below Cleveland?), but our desire for trendy, disposable, and only somewhat ethically horrifying (hey, Gap makes Erling Persson look like Oscar Schindler) fashion trumps our miffedness, as the first two West Coast H&Ms open in San Francisco this Saturday at 10 AM. The big store at 150 Powell Street will house clothing for both genders and the 150 Post Street will sell only the women's collection.

The H&M spokesperson to whom we spoke assured us that, yes, the sold out Stella McCartney line will indeed be in our stores.

We're torn -- part of us wants to camp out in front of the store all Friday night, and our other side wants to avoid downtown completely, just to miss the mass insanity. How about you? Let us know in the comments.
