Before we talk with Dan, let's wrap up the Yucatan definitely-not-yuck-a-thon: since last week we had the opportunity to sample City Blend Cafe's cochinita pibil. City Blend is a coffee shop on 16th, between Mission and Valencia, which started 18 months ago to serve Yucatecan food in the back. We now strongly believe there is no way to screw up this dish: no matter where you get it, it is darn tasty. City Blend's version ranks in between Yucateco and Mi Lindo Yucatan in both taste and price ($7.50-ish). But you can safely order from any of these places, they all know what they are doing.
