This week's adoptable pet (he'll be featured on SFist all week long on the right side of the site, below the ads) comes to us from the same place last week's dog did, Grateful Dogs Rescue. Look at this dog!
Cooper is a most delightful little guy. About 9 lbs., Cooper thinks of himself as a teacup cattle dog. His little tail is always at attention and he swaggers up and down the park. He LOVES other dogs but is not quite as trusting of people he meets for the first time. Once he gets to know you and trust you, or to realize you have treats to give him, he is a completely different dog. It took a couple of weeks, but he now lets his foster guardian pick him up, touch his feet, ears, look at this teeth, cuddle etc. He loves to sleep under the covers with the rest of my dogs (no room for you, of course!)He would do well in a house with another dog -- in fact, it would almost be a necessity since he is so social with other dogs. (Sorry, no children.) Whoever adopts Cooper would have to promise to take him to dog parks to play and socialize with other dogs, we don't think he would do well otherwise.
