(background music of tapping telegraphs).... this just in -- the RCV results, with computer glitches fixed, for the contested districts.

Mirkarimi wins Dist 5 with 50.3% of the vote, with Haaland in second and Waugh edging out Feldstein by 600 votes for third. McGoldrick wins District 1 with 55%; Elsbernd takes District 7, also with 55%; and Sandoval in District 11, with 58.8%.

Looking at these stats is oddly fascinating. In the final analysis, silver medalist Judge Sing was 2,000 votes behind McGoldrick (out of 20,000 cast), and Haaland was about 5,000 behind Mirkarimi (out of almost 30,000 cast). These numbers are from our quick perusal of the stats on the elections website, and we assume these numbers have not yet been certified, since there's been, you know, no formal announcement yet or anything, but that's what the raw numbers look like so far.

Congratulations to the winners, and let the post-election litigation begin!
